This photo shows cut out section on rear carry thru spar ready for installation of 2 x aileron pulleys and 1x flap pulley, (This section of spar is re-enforced to compensate for cut out in spar web).

Also note 3 x alloy bushes -this is rear carry thru spar hing attachment points. Attachment hinge is offset 2 degree from centre line to allow proper wing dihedral.

This photo shows 1 of 4 wing compression struts, this is a top strut glued on rear face of main spar to front face of rear carry thru spar, a similar strut is glued on the bottom of each spar.

Also see 1" wide cap strips as glued on top and bottom of wing ribs (this gives more surface area for fabric covering over rib).

Note. Geodesic  pattern is half density at this outboard section of wing.

This photo shows trailing edge section being installed on rear carry thru spar.

Note. drop down type hinge brackets for flaps and ailerons. Also see flap spar layed out on table ready for ribs to be glued in place.

Starboard aileron nearing completion and ready for attachment hardware.

Wing structure completed and ready to be sealed/varnished.

This photo shows control cables exiting wing thru rear spar and over pulley system. (cables installed for photo).

This photo shows slotted flap installed and set at 20 degree

Commencing rib stitching on wing

Please note the wing structure as shown in these photos is a "Geodesic" type for approval on my Prototype Airframe. The internal wing structure as supplied with kits will not be "Geodesic".

Main wing spar & rear carry thru spar are completed & ready to be clamped (upright) on table for ribs to be positioned along.

This photo shows dual aileron pulley housing and brackets as attached to rear side of main spar.

Wing tip section of right wing now completed.

Last outboard rib is reduced by 25% in aerofiol thickness to provide the desired flow angle for air as it moves out toward the wing tip while still maintaining lift.

Note. Green sold plastic base on wing tip bow for  starboard nav light housing.

This photo shows timber mounting block on back side of rear carry thru spar.

Note the rear attachment hing - the painted section of the hinge attaches to fuselage carry thru spar, the unpainted section attaches to this mounting block on wing, an AN4 bolt acts as the pivot pin in the hing.

The hing itself is made up of 2 pieces of 6061-T6 U channel .125 thick - the outer is 1 1/4" the inner is 1 1/8".

1st nose skin glued onto leading edge of wing. This is 1 of 3 skins. The ply used is 1.5mm or 1/6" hoop pine.

This photo shows internal aileron pulley system in wing. Note flap return spring/cable.
